with Vilma Pinedo
Hosted by Marianna Jacobs
Putney Vermont
Friday Oct 25th 7:00pm with Fire Ceremony to follow 9:00pm
Join us in a rare opportunity in welcoming Vilma Pinedo, a Peruvian medicine woman, and Francisco Victoria in Putney, Vermont. Vilma will guide us as we experience a traditional Andean ceremony that is performed communally to connect with the Universe and accomplish “Ayni” (sacred reciprocity) not just for us personally, but for the well-being and connections of our “Ayllu” or group, community and world and Universe. After we will be 'offering' the gift to the fire in ceremony.
What is it?
A Despacho (Spanish) or Haywarikuy (Quechua) is a gift or offering honoring the organizing universal principles and a an energetic exchange for healing, reestablishing perfect “ Ayni” (right relationship), harmony or protection. This Andean traditional ritual connects Pachamama, (Mother Earth), and the Apus (mountain spirits), through symbolic group offerings for health, harmony, balance, respect, and gratitude for the natural and spiritual world
Under Vilma's guidance, we will collectively create an offering to be presented to the fire at the event's conclusion. Vilma and Francisco will share and explain the energetic inner workings and symbolism of each element within the offering created. Each item of offering represents a prayer and a gift of power that sparks the momentum for energy shifts and healing. The ceremony brings participants into alignment with their personal intent, the group intent, and gratitude to the earth, which supports us in all our endeavors.
* Suggested Donation & bring a chair if possible or comfy cushion.
** Please bring either a flower or a burnable small organic item you would like to contribute to the offering and 3 Bay leaves for your prayers ( “Kintus”).
This is optional, not required.
